News Flash!!
The VOENA documentary "The Journey Makes Us One" has been nominated for the 11th Annual Sonoma Film Festival.
Join "The White House Favorites," VOENA, for the spectacular all new "Voices Of Peace" coming to COPIA and Vacaville Performing Arts Center! Selling out our Holiday tour, we look forward to our new Spring tour that will dance and sing with a splash of color reaching across borders and uniting our world with a vision for peace, featuring such song greats as Somewhere Over The Rainbow and The Prayer. With 100+ voices ranging in age from 6 to 18, VOENA achieves rich and inventive a cappella vocal arrangements by using multiple percussion instruments, dance, theatrical elements while singing music in up to 20 languages and dialects. Violinist and founder/director, Annabelle Marie, incorporating her unique style, "physical singing," presents VOENA, honored as goodwill ambassadors, representing the United States at the world renowned Soweto Cultural Heritage Festival in South Africa in September 2009.
As young people, they are our hope for a better world---for a better tomorrow. They are agents of change in a world that sometimes forgets that we are all here for each other--- to move beyond ourselves and our differences if even for a moment--and reach out to each other in love and in peace. This is VOENA – powerful, beautiful, the voice of virtue – it is the hope sought by all and sung by children, recognizing that the true spirit of unity is understood in any language.
